Merweville is a peaceful, tranquil village located 45km north-west of Prince Albert Road and 130km south-east of Beaufort West. The tiny town has only two tarred roads and architecture is a combination of Cape Dutch influences and traditional flat roofed Karoo cottages. Being similar to US desert areas, the Merweville region is often used to portray scenes from Arizona and Nevada.
