De Mond – a beautiful World Heritage coastal nature reserve at the mouth of the Heuningnes River – lies about 26km south-east of Bredasdorp on the south-western Cape coast, between Arniston and Struisbaai and near L’Agulhas. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful picnic under shady trees along the banks of the river, or explore the reserve on one of the beautiful hiking trails.

Day visitors must exit the nature reserve by 18h00.
Strictly no permits issued before 07h30 and after 16h00.
No visitors allowed to enter the reserve after 16h00.
